Why Microneedling Is the Next Big Thing

There’s a lot of ways to rejuvenate your face. There are lasers. (There are so many lasers.) There are chemical peels. And then there are needles.

Given all of these options, needles can sometimes seem a bit pshaw.

But for a number of reasons, the low-tech (though increasingly high-tech) solution to skin problems is, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, gaining traction.

The Technology’s Always Getting Better

Perhaps the reason why microneedling is becoming more popular is because of the incremental improvements that make the technology even more appealing.

For one thing, microneedling is an in and out process, something that take as few as 15 minutes (that’s even less than Botox injections!).

This wasn’t always the case, when, back in the 80s, it was a painstaking and slow process done with a single 30-gauge needle.

Add to that the affordability advantage of microneedling, and a less fancy but still sophisticated approach may be best.

More than that, microneedling might be used in conjunctions with other skin rejuvenation treatments such as lasers. Go in for the big treatment, and use microneedling in between to keep your skin nice.

But there might be another reason the treatment is growing in popularity.

Absorb Those Nutrients!

Microneedling gets an even bigger boost when paired with serums to be absorbed by the skin. The microneedling process basically opens the faces’ channels for absorption, so anything applied after gets absorbed quickly and used in the healing process of the face.

So the process has synergy. Not only are you stimulating collagen production, you’re also giving the face the nutrients and hydration it needs for the healing process–allowing it to absorb it much faster than it normally would.

No wonder it’s getting so popular.

Without a doubt–Microneedling is the next big thing. If you want to know more about your options including treatment with the Eclipse Micropen or Infini Microneedling, call The West Institute and schedule a consultation with Dr. Tina West.
