How Does
SofwaveTM Work?

SofwaveTM painlessly delivers ultrasound energy to heat the dermis, the middle layer of skin where collagen and elastin fibers are produced. One 30-60 minute treatment session is sufficient to stimulate the growth of elastin and collagen fibers, resulting in the improvement of skin laxity ANYWHERE on the face or body.

SofwaveTM’s technology is FDA-cleared for:

What Should I Expect During My SofwaveTM Treatment?

Dr. West will apply a topical numbing agent to ensure your comfort during the procedure. How Many SofwaveTM Treatments Will I Need?

Most patients only need one SofwaveTM treatment, although some may benefit from an additional treatment depending on the body area, degree of skin laxity, and their body’s physiologic response. Some patients have reported results as early as one week following treatment. The natural skin regeneration process can take up to 12 weeks, so you are expected to see ongoing improvement during this period. SofwaveTM’s clinical evidence shows a significant effect up to one year following a single treatment.

How Long Do SofwaveTM results last?

Following SofwaveTM treatment, significant and often dramatic results are noticeable by 3 months, and continued skin lifting occurs for at least one year. Results do not “wear off;” patients continue to age naturally and SofwaveTM may be repeated after about one year as a maintenance non-surgical treatment to prevent skin laxity that occurs with the natural aging process.
