I Tried This Treatment for Acne Scars–It Worked!

Acne and acne scars can have a huge effect on your self-esteem. And while most skin rejuvenation techniques to some degree treat both, for individuals with severe acne scarring, these treatments just might not be enough.

Rebecca Snow of Health shared her experience with a new technology called Infini, which combines radiofrequency and microneedling together to produce a targeted skin rejuvenation effect that heals acne scars.

Effective, but Temporary Results

This wasn’t the first time Snow tried to heal her acne scars. She’d tried endless products, from retinol, to Accutane, to chemical peels.

The results were great, occasionally, but always temporary. And that brought her to Infini RF Microneedling.

The Difference Between Infini and “Regular” Microneedling

Of course, all forms of skin rejuvenation use the principle of “precisely damaging” the skin in order to stimulate collagen production.

So how was Infini different?

The simplest answer is that it combines microneedling with radiofrequency for a synergistic effect. Essentially, microneedling only affects the surface of the skin–but scars can sometimes penetrate deeper.

Infini uses the thermal effect of radio frequency in order to deliver the collagen promoting effect to the deeper parts of the skin, where the scars might lay. Therefore, the healing process that usually occurs with skin rejuvenation occurs at this deeper level too.

How long does the treatment take? About 15 minutes. Infini follows the trend of these procedures being something you can perform on your lunch break.

For Snow’s own part, she points out that the first time she did the procedure, it took a couple of weeks for the tracing marks of the procedure to fully disappear. But on the second treatment it only took five days.

Overall, she says the results were worth it. She also points out that she’s signed up for her third session.
