Looking at photos of Kylie Jenner from a few years ago, one can’t help but notice she looks quite different. While hair and makeup have undoubtedly contributed to her transformation, many people credit a plastic surgeon with her new and improved appearance.
Despite these claims, Kylie denies going under the knife. She has, however, admitted to getting lip fillers at the age of 17.
More recently, Kylie revealed that lip fillers aren’t the only face treatment she’s had done.
Continue reading to find out the other non-surgical procedure she’s undergone.
What Are Lip Fillers?
Lip fillers are a non-invasive treatment designed to add volume and definition to lips and smooth lines around the mouth. They require little to no downtime and provide instant plumping and volumizing effects. Patients can enjoy benefits of lip fillers for 6-9 months.
While Kylie’s lip filler of choice is Juvederm, Restylane and Belotero are other popular options.
How Do Lip Fillers Work?
Lip fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in skin and joints. It’s also extremely hydrophilic – meaning water-loving.
As a result, when hyaluronic acid is injected into lips, it immediately attracts and retains moisture for powerful lip plumping.
However, today’s lip fillers can do more than just augment the size of lips. They are also able to boost lip hydration, improve lip structure, increase your pout, and erase wrinkles.
Plus, in case you don’t love your lip filler results as much as Kylie, they can be reversed with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase.
What Other Face Treatment Has Kylie Jenner Had Done?
While she’s denied plastic surgery, Kylie admits she’s had lip fillers and other injectable treatments. However, she didn’t specify where and why she received dermal fillers.
Since dermal fillers can be used to correct a number of concerns, we can only guess if she treated her tear troughs, augmented her cheeks, smoothed wrinkles and folds, reshaped her nose, improved her facial contours, or augmented her chin.
