Khloe Kardashian Reveals Skin Cancer

Khloe Kardashian is never shy under the spotlight, even when sitting across from a psychic.

The reality star was a quest on E!’s Hollywood Medium With Tyler Henry recently. The two discussed everything from her father to cancer. It turns out not even the rich and the famous are exempt from the nasty disease.

Henry gave Khloe a reading and had huge revelations: Skin cancer was front and center.

“I’m seeing skin,” said Henry. “I’m referencing to what looks like melanoma. I’m getting a reference to three separate situations that I view as problem areas.”

The problem areas Henry was referring to actually included, “more of a private area.”

It turned out that Henry was pretty spot-on.

Khloe revealed that she previously had melanoma on her back. She suspects that private area Henry talked about was her chest, considering she underwent a biopsy there before.

“I’ve had it twice before,” said Khloe. “I get everything checked every three months.”

To prevent any future run-ins with melanoma, the Kardashian sister has gone as far removing most of the moles and freckles on her body.

She posted a video on Snapchat about the experience after her bout with melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.

“My back made me so insecure,” she said on Snapchat. “I look like a Dalmatian. I’m just toning it down.”

Khloe’s bravery after such a serious issue is admirable. And the kind of precaution she takes in assuring it doesn’t happen again is another fine example for anybody – fans of reality TV or not.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, Melanoma’s are the most dangerous form of skin cancer.

Melanomas are most often caused by ultraviolet radiation from sunshine or tanning beds–two things that the Kardashian’s have been known to get a lot of in the past.

Melanomas often resemble moles; and in fact some do develop from moles, so it is always important to have a doctor take a look at spots that you are suspicious of.
