Restoring Your Youthfulness

Fraxel® DUAL 1550/1927 resurfacing treatments effectively target both the surface and deeper layers of the skin for a smoother, fresher, younger looking appearance.

Fraxel is the gold-standard procedure for erasing acne scars.

A patented “fractionated” laser technology that targets aging and sun damaged skin, safely penetrating the skin’s deeper layers and stimulating your body’s own natural healing process to create new collagen.

What Is Fraxel?

Fraxel (“Fractional Resurfacing”) is a laser used for the treatment of photoaging, acne scarring and stretchmarks.

How Does Fraxel Work?

Fraxel Laser Treatment produces thousands of tiny, but deep columns of treatment in the skin, known as microthermal treatment zones.

The treatment eliminates old epidermal (surface) cells and also penetrates deep into the dermis.

Just as important, though, are the areas of skin Fraxel leaves untouched. For every microthermal zone the laser targets and treats intensively.

What Is Fraxel Used For?

The Fraxel DUAL 1550/1927 treatment uses patented factional laser technology to target aging and sun damaged skin.

Fraxel is indicated for the treatment of fine wrinkles, precancers, uneven skin tone, melasma and brown spots caused by aging and sun exposure.

Fraxel treatment also helps to improve dark undereye circles.

What Can I Expect?

Following a series of Fraxel laser treatments, the skin gradually becomes softer, smoother tighter and fresher.

In contrast to previous resurfacing technologies, Fraxel treatment is ideal for sensitive skin areas such as face, neck, chest and hands.

  • Improved tone and texture
  • Reduced wrinkles around the eyes
  • Erasing of unwanted brown spots
  • Improved appearance of acne scars and surgical scars
  • Effective treatment of pre-cancerous lesions (actinic keratosis)
  • Excellent treatment for face, neck, chest, arms, legs and back

What Can I Expect After a Fraxel Treatment?

Depending on the level of the treatment, you may experience redness or swelling after the procedure which diminishes as quickly as the next day or over the next several days.

Your skin will naturally bronze over the next week or two.

As you continue with the treatment sessions, the sunburned-to-bronzed appearance will repeat after each treatment.

As with a sunburn, your skin will flake and exfoliate normally, revealing fresher, glowing and smoother looking and feeling skin.

When Will I See Results?

The results of Fraxel are both immediate and progressive. Soon after the treatment, the surface of your skin will feel softer and smoother, looking brighter and show a more even tone.

The next three to six months will bring more improvement as the deeper layers of the skin continue to create new collage.

Results are long lasting depending on your lifestyle, age, skin condition and skin care regimen.

What’s the Difference of Fraxel DUAL?

The Fraxel DUAL laser has the unique advantage of two treatment modes:

  • 1550: Penetrates deep into the skin layers, specifically targeting concerns such as wrinkles or acne scarring.
  • 1927: Effectively targets tone, texture and other more superficial signs of aging.
