Northern Virginia Emsculpt and Emsella – The West Institute

Today, many popular body-contouring procedures target stubborn fat using cold temperatures and light-based energy. However, fat targeted treatments have no effect on the underlying. Emsculpt offers a revolutionary, non-surgical solution for men and women that are specifically designed to build muscle, and simultaneously destroys some fat cells in the treated area.

Emsella is another innovative treatment that uses the same technology to target a specific set of muscles: the pelvic floor muscles. Due to conditions such as vaginal delivery, menopause, or aging, changes within the pelvic floor may result in urinary incontinence.  Emsella is a non-invasive procedure, that modernizes the treatment of women’s intimate health and wellness.

You deserve to look and feel your best. When diet and exercise fail to help you attain your goals, Emsculpt and Emsella may provide the solutions that will help to optimize your life and your confidence over time.

What are Emsculpt and Emsella?

Emsculpt is a body contouring treatment that targets unwanted pockets of fat and helps to build up the weakened muscles beneath those pockets. Emsculpt is not a surgical procedure, so it requires no downtime. Emsculpt can also help you achieve a non-surgical butt lift and improve abdominal separation (diastasis recti), a common occurrence following pregnancy.

Emsella is a non-invasive treatment option that specifically targets the pelvic floor muscles. Strong pelvic floor muscles support your pelvic organs and help you retain control over your bladder and bowels.

While these treatments focus on different muscles for distinct purposes, both Emsculpt and Emsella use high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to generate a series of supramaximal muscle contractions. These contractions are more powerful than the voluntary muscular contractions that occur during exercise and do not allow for a relaxation period.

With Emsculpt, these contractions mean that fat is broken down and muscles are strengthened, producing a more defined abdomen and firmer, rounder buttocks. Emsculpt can also be used to tone and strengthen the muscles in the arms and legs.

During Emsella, these contractions strengthen the pelvic floor and retrain those muscles to help relieve both stress and urge incontinence.

What are the Benefits of Emsculpt and Emsella?

Eliminating fat is only one component of body contouring. Muscle tone and shape are also important in our appearance and our health. Sculpting muscles is a fundamental factor in attaining the leaner, more defined figure you’ve always wanted. Emsculpt is a safe, effective way to help eliminate stubborn fat pockets while adding definition and tone to your physique.

Ideal candidates for Emsculpt are men and women who are already fit but want to take their muscle tone and definition to new levels that are not always possible with regular fitness routines. However, Emsculpt has the ability to benefit any healthy adult interested in increasing muscle mass while reducing fat.

The benefits of a healthy, strong pelvic floor cannot be underestimated. Incontinence can cause embarrassment, undermine confidence, and be uncomfortable. Emsella is a safe, non-invasive way to strengthen pelvic floor muscles, thereby minimizing events of stress and urge incontinence.

With Emsella, strengthening weakened pelvic floor muscles means no more worrying about incidents when sneezes or laughter catch you off guard. Emsella gives you the confidence to live your best life.
