Dr. Tina B. West, founder of the West Institute, is a board-certified Dermatologist and leading expert in cosmetic dermatology, laser surgery and body contouring procedures.

With her “Skip the Scalpel” philosophy, Dr. West utilizes the most advanced minimally invasive technology to maintain the health and appearance of the skin of the face and body in women and men for life.

Dr. West has served as a consultant and injectable trainer for Allergan and Galderma, training other physicians in advanced treatment techniques using dermal fillers and neuromodulators, like Dysport as well as Botox. She participated in the original phase III FDA clinical trials for the approval of Botox Cosmetic.

Physician Assistant

Caroline is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in cosmetic dermatology. She joined The West Institute following over a decade of hospital, clinical, and surgical experience, including work in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins. Her background provides a strong foundation in facial anatomy, procedural precision, and aesthetic judgment.

Caroline focuses on subtle, refined results that support long-term skin health. She offers injectables, advanced laser treatments, and evidence-based skincare plans tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle. Her approach is thoughtful and conservative, prioritizing balance, skin quality, and outcomes that look natural in every setting.

Outside of the office, Caroline is an avid reader, enthusiastic collector of houseplants, and devoted animal lover.

Medical Aesthetician

Jacqueline Sweet is a licensed medical aesthetician with over 20 years of experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, and clinical aesthetics. She currently specializes in results-driven treatments that prioritize skin health, natural refinement, and personalized care. Her background in her wide range of specialities provides a strong foundation that informs every treatment she performs. She is also certified in oncology aesthetics and is specially trained to support patients undergoing cancer treatment or recovery.

Her journey into aesthetics is personal, shaped by her own experience with facial reconstruction, which fuels her compassionate, patient-centered approach. Jacqueline is passionate about enhancing natural beauty while creating a supportive, empowering experience for every patient.

Outside of work, she enjoys time with family, live music, riding her Harley, and playing mahjong.

Clinic Manager and Lead Medical Assistant

Tracy has been assisting Dr. West for nearly two decades and supports our clinic as both our clinic manager and lead medical assistant. With years of experience in cosmetic dermatology, she plays an essential role in keeping the practice running smoothly while helping ensure every patient receives thoughtful, attentive care.

Tracy is dedicated to making each patient’s experience exceptional from the very first visit and is always happy to lend a helping hand or answer questions along the way.

Outside of The West Institute, her favorite role is being “Nana” to her eight grandchildren.

Medical Assistant and Patient Service Coordinator

Patricia has been with the West institute for six years and works as our Medical Assistant and Patient Service Coordinator. She loves building meaningful connections with patients and being part of their journey toward feeling confident and cared for.

Patricia specializes in performing CoolSculpting treatments and works closely with patients to provide personalized body contouring plans tailored to their goals. She takes pride in guiding patients through the process and helping them achieve natural-looking results while feeling supported every step of the way.

Outside of work, Patricia enjoys traveling, hiking, dancing, and spending quality time creating special memories with family and friends.

Patient Care Consultant

Taline joined The West Institute in 2023 as our Patient Care Consultant. With six years of experience in aesthetics, she’s passionate about building meaningful relationships with patients and guiding them through every step of their treatment journey, so they feel confident, informed, and fully supported.

Fun fact: She knows astrology inside and out, so feel free to test her knowledge!

Patient Care Coordinator

Marianna joined The West Institute in 2023 as a Patient Care Coordinator. She is passionate about working in a field that enhances patients’ confidence and helps them feel their very best. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that makes a meaningful impact on how patients see and feel about themselves.

Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking and spending quality time watching movies and TV shows with her husband and their dog.
