Ultherapy Chevy Chase

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive procedure FDA-cleared to lift skin on the neck, under the chin and on the eyebrow.

Ultherapy is now also FDA-cleared to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.

Ultherapy can help you achieve a fresher, more youthful look from your brow to your chest!

What Is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a non-invasive ultrasound procedure that stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin deep with the skin.

The ultrasound energy is delivered to varying depths of the skin ranging from 1.5 – 4.5 mm and does not cause any disruption to the skin’s surface.

Ultherapy non-surgically lifts and tightens skin tissue with no downtime.

It is FDA-approved to lift, tighten, and tone the décolletage, midface, neck, eyes and forehead.

How Does Ultherapy Work?

Ultherapy Chevy Chase MD

As we age, the collagen in our skin weakens and elastin starts to break down, causing skin to become more lax.

Unlike lasers, which penetrate the skin from the outside-in, Ultherapy works from the inside-out to lift and tighten skin non-invasively.

Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin, delivering focused ultrasound energy at just the right depth below the skin–to the same foundational layer typically addressed in a surgical facelift.

The skin’s response to this energy is to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen and elastin.

Results reveal a lifting and tightening of the skin over two-to-three months, back into a more youthful and form-fitting position.

Futher improvements can even appear up to six months after an Ultherapy procedure.

Ultherapy Décolletage Procedure

Prior to the procedure, photos are taken and the chest will be marked to outline the treatment area. The Ultherapy device allows the provider to visualize the internal layers of the skin and then administer a series of pulses to the décolletage.

The pulses are brief, and many patients describe the sensation as small pricks to the skin. A chilled ultrasound gel is used during the treatment and can help improve patient comfort.

Ultherapy can be performed on the décolletage in 30 minutes.

Post-Treatment Experience

Ultherapy has zero downtime, and patients may resume all normal activities post-treatment. It is normal to experience some minor redness, swelling, and bruising immediately after.

Because it does not affect the skin’s outermost layer, patients do not need to be as cautious about sun exposure as they would with some other cosmetic treatments.

Just one non-invasive Ultherapy treatment helps counteract the effects of time, gravity and sun exposure without downtime.

You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure without any post-treatment restrictions or requirements.

Skin on the décolletage becomes progressively tighter and more toned two-to-six months after treatment. Results typically last one-to-two years.
